The start of our hike at PenMar park. We're heading north.

Just a short way from this point we will cross the Mason Dixon line.

Though there is still light visible through the trees, the darkness of the forest lets us know that night is approaching. Better get to camp fast!

Pennsylvania is known for rocks on the AT!

Are we there yet?

AT last .. we found camp!

Nice little spot for our tent.

Getting fresh water from the srping in the AM is always refreshing.

Breakfast time!

Now this is what a trail should look like ... no rocks!

Mushroom. Possibly Russula Aquosa, but I am not an expert. From www.rogersmushrooms.com.

No idea what this is, thought he flesh was very fungus like.

Closeup of “flower”

Probably Laetiporus sulphureus (aka sulphur shelf, the “chicken of the woods”).

Water still looks high from the recent flooding. In the distance you can see a tent. During the floow that area was covered.

Cool log walkway across the new stream created by the flooding.

Just a quick break to read the log book before moving on.

Interesting church at the end of our hike.
