There are all sorts of animals about our property.  The photo galleries below highlight not only the regular cast of players but also the perhaps less intended species that call our little hollow, "Home".

The Intruders

I suppose us mere humans have as much right to our piece of land as any other dweller but I put in this category the various creatures that we have brought along with us that wouldn't otherwise appear here.  This includes:

Chickens

We have a variety of chickens that we are raising for eggs.  Pictures below shows how quickly they grow.

Native Inhabitants

Our native population includes the likely suspects such as snakes, raccoons, mice, deer, trout, and turkey but was also have some more unusual regular inhabitants such as a blue heron that has been appearing regularly for quite some time.  Some of these animals are easier to photograph than others!

This is the first snake of the season.  A very small Milk Snake found under a log during hen house construction.

Having hens on the property I must say that I'm not too keen on having a racoon visit.  I've seen him several times now so we'll just have to keep monitoring the little guy.
