Greetings fellow backpackers!  Spring is finally here, the trees are starting to bloom, the weather is looking beautiful ... I think it's time to get outside!

This growing section of StinkyPigs is devoted to Backpacking.  I've got a variety of information sprinkled here and there including trip plans for some of my trips, topographic maps, pictures, equipment lists, and reviews.

Take your time to look around.  I hope you find something of value.

Equipment Lists

Below are links to our ever growing lists of gear.  These lists contain a lot of gear.  The QTY column reflects what we are currently carrying (if there is a 0 we aren't using it right now).

Right now I'm trying out the tarp concept.  I just completed a sewing project making a RayWay Tarp and NetTent.  I'm really happy with the outcome and after the next outing will post a review.   Going with the tarp is bringing my base weight (everything short of food) down to about 21 3/4 lbs.
